Chaney Tullos
Chaney (he/him/his) is a director and teacher currently based in Houston, Texas.
He serves as Director of Education Programs at Alley Theatre: One of the largest and most respected Regional Theatres in the USA. There he helps to manage innovative and impactful programs – serving over 45 school districts and dozens of community organizations. Utilizing Arts Integration, he’s also partnered with a cross-section of community - including scientists, business leaders, and incarcerated citizens.
Previously he served as Associate Artistic Director of New Orleans’ professional classical theatre company: The New Orleans Shakespeare Festival. He was also an adjunct faculty member at Tulane University where he taught courses in Acting, Shakespeare, and Stage Management. He has taken shows and programming into countless schools, community centers, and prisons. Additionally, Chaney served on the faculty of the prestigious New Orleans Center for Creative Arts: Louisiana’s premiere high school arts conservatory.
Chaney holds an MFA in Acting from LSU and worked extensively as an actor with companies including Ford’s Theatre, The American Shakespeare Center, Virginia Stage Company, The Colorado Shakespeare Festival, SITI Company, and Swine Palace. He is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA.
